Aerodynamics
Designers face complex challenges for the next generation of civil aircrafts that will operate under strict environmental rules in an ever increasing market. Performance estimation plays an extensive role at all stages of a commercial aircraft development program and design methodologies, together with computational methods, largely support the creation of these aircrafts. Innovative design requires interdisciplinary, multi-physics and interactive design methods that need more and more computational power. Current works performed in the Advanced Aerodynamics and Multi-physics group adress a large range of complex flow physics such as (click on links for more details about topics):Aeroacoustics
