HIPERCOMBATS : Overview of the product

The HIPERCOMBATS product has been designed in order to be run efficiently on a non dedicated network of heterogeneous computers.

In this respect all the modules have been developed to be portable on a wide range of UNIX computers and are based on the used of an object oriented approach (C++ language), the portable message paradigm (namely PVM) to manage the parallelism and X11 windows and Motif to implement the user interfaces.

The end-user only access the HIPERCOMBATS product through two user interfaces namely :

• the pre-processor,
• the post-processor.

The HIPERCOMBATS package is composed by 4 main modules :

the Pre-processor module

the Parallel manager module

the General purpose MBS simulation module : COMPAMM

the Post-processor module

Some animations of the scooter simulation are available. They have been generated using the animation facilities of COMPAMM.
