Abstract
In this talk there is described a comparison of different algorithms for solving nonlinear optimization problems with simple bounds on the variables. We also come out with an assessment of the optimisation library DOT used in the optimisation suite OPTALIA at Airbus for this kind of problems. We show that relatively new software packages give potentially interesting results for application involving minimization of the drag in aircraft design. And finally, we extend these results to generally constrained problems.
