Wide scientific interest seminar

Abstract

We will present two complementary computational science projects of our department.

The first one is the identification of metabolic activities based on the analysis of thermal imaging. This project, in cooperation with the team of Ioannis Pavlidis, combines several components of image analysis, parameter identification and image analysis.

The second one is the grid computing of PDEs for applications in CFD. This project is focused on the design of new algorithms to compute efficiently systems of reaction-convection-diffusion equations on a distributed network of parallel computers.
