MPP_IO Performance

• Multiple processes/multiple files writing scales with the number of Pes.
• Single process/single file writing does not scale with the number of Pes:
  • Gathering onto one PE prior to the write. However, no post-processing step necessary
• Multiple processes/single file reading scales with the number of PES.
  • Speedup less steep compared with mm writing.
• Binary writes faster then NetCDF writes.
