The HIPERCOMBATS pre-processor has been designed to
allow the user to input each of the physical quantity
characterizing the vehicle dynamics and to define the set of computers
he intends to use for the parametric study.
The Multi-Body System (MBS) simulations, using a general purpose
MBS package called COMPAMM.,
are performed concurrently
and are driven by a Parallel Manager module.

To perform a parametric study the user should proceed in three steps
- Define the name of the session and define the paramters that
characterize the study. The paramters can be defined as constant or
as variable. In this later case, the user should input through the pre-processor
the interval where the parameter should vary : the minimum value, the maximum
value and the increment.

- Select the computers to be used during the parallel paramtric study.
Notice when a computer has been selected the number of processes
can be greater than one if this computer is a multiprocessor.

This ``network configuration'' window displays also, some additional information
(stored in a configuration file) as
the name and IP number of each computer, the maximum number of processes allowed
on each computer, and the indication on the availability of NFS with the
host computer (running the pre-processor).
- Run !!
The activation of this action will automaticaly generate all the
input files for the simulations to be performed within the parametric study
and will start processes on the selected computers.
This animation (2.3 MO) shows an example
of the pre-processor use to define and perform a parametric study on
the scooter model.
