MONOPROCESSOR INTERPOLATIONS

Results of the bilinear, bicubic and conservative interpolations for the coupling of ocean-atmosphere models with OASIS4 :
1- exchange of a coupling field between the LMDz atmosphere grid and the ORCA2 ocean grid used
by the IPSL institute (Institut Pierre Simon Laplace).
2- exchange of a coupling field between the (ARPEGE RED grid (global) and ALADIN grid (regional)) for the atmosphere
and the (ORCA2 grid (global) and NEMO-MED1/2 (regional) grid) for the ocean. These grids are used by  Météo-France .

The results are presented in the table below. For each couple of grids, different interpolations are tested.
The interpolated field correponds to the analytical function f1 :

 
For each interpolation, the source field, the target field and the error field are presented. The points at -3 correspond to the masked points.
The points at -1 correspond to points in the target field that do not receive any value, the target field beeing initialized at -1.
The blank values that can be visible in some target fields are points at PSMILe_undef=-280177 (no extra-search available for conservative
interpolations).
