Developments for the year
2010/2011
Personal documentation of all the problems encountered and
correspondence by email in english with our german associates
Merge of the trunk and the development branch 20100429_development
(containing the user-def weights and optimization on the reading of the
smioc)
Creation of the new development branch development_3
Merge of the trunk and the development branch development_3 and
creation of the branch development_4 (to realize the developments on
the
multi block decomposition)
Compile and run the toys on jade at CINES and on Corail at CERFACS
Creation of the arborescence of the sources, the executables and the
parameter files of the model CNRM-CM5 in mono and parallel on the NEC
SX8 for the AR5 IPCC
runs, with M.P Moine
Put the model CNRM-CM5 on svn
Add the sources to run the model CNRM-CM5 in forced mode on tori with
E. Sanchez and put them under svn
Test
of the quality of interpolation of an anlytical function on the
er40 grid for two IPCC models miroc3_2_hires_er40
and ipsl_cm4_er40 : results
Training on OASIS3 at CERFACS in Toulouse, 7-10 June 2010
OASIS4 developer meeting at MPI Hamburg, August 31- September 3
; creation of the corresponding wiki page (https://oasistrac.cerfacs.fr/wiki/DeveloperMeetingMPI2010)
Web pages on OASIS4 (http://www.cerfacs.fr/oa4web/oasis4_trunk/oasis4_index.html)
- list of the communications between T-T, P-T, P-P
- description of the variables and their types
- description of the arborescence of the psmile and of the
transformer
- description of the routines
Use of Doxygen to documentate the code on the web (http://www.cerfacs.fr/oa4web/oasis4_trunk/doc-doxygen/html/index.html)
Use of Latex2html to put the OASIS4 User Guide on the web (http://www.cerfacs.fr/oa4web/oasis4/OASIS4_User_Guide/index.html)
Use of PLONE to create some OASIS web pages on the vERC created in the
frame of IS-ENES (http://plone.dkrz.de/computing/software-tools/oasis/
)
Use a cron on my computer to update the sources of oasis4 and oasis3,
the documentation and doxygen every day
Modify the GUI with Jean-Marie Epitalon: remove oasis version,
simulated,
required_but_changeable, choice global/local for para_search, add
gaussain_variance to nneighbour2D and 3D interpolation
Creation of a toy Arpege-OASIS4-Nemo for Eric Maisonnave (CERFACS) :
- creation of the grids high resolution with another toy playback
that I adapted (orca025, t359,t799,orca012)
- creation of a toy simulating all the exchanges of the real
coupled model
- creation of the different partitions we want to test (coded by S.
Valcke and
the training student P. Trespeuch)
- help the training student to create web pages to put its results
Creation of a toy to test interpolations from Arpege to Nemo (and vice
versa) for
different resolutions :
- adapt the toy used in CICLE to take into account the new
partitions for the gaussian reduced grids coded by S. Valcke and
the training student P. Trespeuch
- adapt the toy used in CICLE to read the grids directly from debug
files written by OASIS4
- Compile and run on corail at CERFACS (too long on my machine)
- adapt the scripts to run on different computers
- tests and debug for different partitions
- Put the results on the web
Test and debug of the examples of OASIS4 on different platforms for the
different merge (trunk and the development branch 20100429_development
and trunk and the development branch development_3):
REFERENCE TOYS :
Test and debug of Toyoa4 on different platforms with Buildbot
every
night,
using and adapting the scripts already existing for all the examples :
- Creation of expect scripts to connect to remote machines
- With constant fields
- Put the results on the web
Test all the CICLE interpolations on Linux every night.
Trainings
5-6 may 2010 : training on eLearning at CERFACS (see http://elearning.cerfacs.fr/)

System Modelling : Today
and Tomorrow” at CERFACS, Toulouse
